SpaceSense uses AI and space to monitor 1 million hectares worldwide

SpaceSense, specialised in satellite data based on artificial intelligence, has monitored more than 1 million hectares in less than three months, at the SIMA — French agricultural equipment trade fair –virtual press day.

The international and dynamic french start-up, based in Paris, created a tool that will tackle climate change through a quicker and more straightforward analysis of satellite images of the soil humidity and fertilisation, crop health and yield forecast. “Satellite is the perfect compromise between accuracy and cost”, says Sami Yacoubi, SpaceSense co-founder and COO.

To achieve this ambitious task, the team relies on the European Space Agency (ESA) experience and the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES) experts. “Thanks to the powerful vision of a great team, Space Sense has a huge potential to serve our planet”, highlighted Christelle Astorg-Lepine, “Connect by CNES” Program Manager.
